You have to keep it plugged in 100% of the time if you want to pick it up and use it. It never seems to turn off, even though the LED in the power button goes out. I love that I can connect a Samsung Note10+ and have a working touchscreen mirror. It's far better to carry around a DEX hub (which I have). Space is VERY limited in some places and a DEX center would be another thing to find in a safe place. Fewer cords to dangle and tangle, and plug and unplug when you're done, saving you time. This monitor worked great with my Nintendo Switch and PS4 (although the graphics aren't that great in some games like Pokemon Sword, BoTW, etc.), but not so well with my Lenovo ThinkPad and Acer Chromebook. I can't talk to the touchscreen as I haven't been able to get it to work with my Linux based operating system, but everything else on this monitor works great and looks razor sharp. The battery life is decent and lasts for a good retro gaming session. Expensive but worth it.
