I bought this to use with the Hayden Automotive 3700 Rapid-Cool Thin-Line Electric Fan, above that I wrote before. This thermostat is a bit more complicated. do not install one where the probe is simply plugged into the radiator fins. None of the included thermal switch adapters fit the existing holes in the heatsink, so we just drilled a small hole in the plastic plug and used the sensor itself to tap the threads. That works great. The fan turns on and off as the coolant reaches normal operating temperature. The only thing I really liked was the AC bypass connection. Connect this wire to the A/C clutch and the fan will turn on when the A/C compressor is turned on!
