Very nice thick wires and relays

It's a hassle to work with if you're not using the thermostat they provided you with. I connected it to my factory thermostat and had to connect ground to the thermostat. Otherwise, the engine will constantly turn on or off. Very good thick wires and relays.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Only available in black

DO NOT BUY Good for fans

If I could give it a zero I would. I have received this kit twice once as a replacement. Both kits were missing the main part of the "thermostat switch", it can be seen in the photo and description, shown on the box and listed in the document in the "includes" section. But there is no thermostat switch.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

As expected! Wiring is very simple, t.

As expected! The wiring is very simple, most of the wiring has been hidden and I feel confident in this kit. I connected a brass fitting to the motor's water connection and it controls the fan itself. You no longer have to wonder if the pin is connected to the heatsink, the motor stops running for 2 seconds after the key is turned off as that Relay controls the power supply.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Works great on my 67 GTO

Chose this for my 67 GTO with an extra electric fan. It seems to turn on about 10 degrees later than advertised, but it works. It looks a little out of place on the front header, but there's not much I can do about it other than find a header with a plug in the back (which I didn't). no) Installation was easy and it doesn't drip. Would buy it again - 1 star because it turns on a bit late

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Lots of things

picture lies! Does not come with fuse holder as shown

I bought this under the impression of the picture that it comes with fuse holder and fuse along with everything else. It does not come with a fuse holder which can be clearly seen in the pictures. I know it's not that hard to find a fusible link but that's the principle of it all and an additional cost on my part, the fuse holder is clearly visible in the pictures so it would have come with my wired relay setup must.

Pros
  • Lasting test results
Cons
  • Minor

This is the one to buy, carving directly into the water channel

This is the one to buy - the other from Derale which has a radiator probe that goes into the ribs isn't as good. Buy this one because you can thread it straight into the water channel and get a direct reading. Has been working great for a few months now and will definitely buy again. I'm using it with a non-Derale fan, so no problem there either. The maximum fan current is 25A, which should be enough for most 16" fans.

Pros
  • . Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Flamboyant

This is the thermostat kit you need in order to convert your electric fan

I bought this to use with the Hayden Automotive 3700 Rapid-Cool Thin-Line Electric Fan, above that I wrote before. This thermostat is a bit more complicated. do not install one where the probe is simply plugged into the radiator fins. None of the included thermal switch adapters fit the existing holes in the heatsink, so we just drilled a small hole in the plastic plug and used the sensor itself to tap the threads. That works great. The fan turns on and off as the coolant reaches normal…

Pros
  • Value for money
Cons
  • Modern
