After a few splashes of water in moderately severe accidents, I made an immediate switch to protective gear. I've tried several other brands trying to "save money" and ended up buying uncomfortable pads that I HATE wearing. Fast forward to buying POC VPD ethers and I can't speak highly enough. My arms are so muscular that some shirts don't fit me. XL pads are so comfortable I don't even realize I'm wearing them. After 3 relatively bad falls and pads my elbows are intact. Two thumbs up I would buy again!
