My dog loves to be carried, but even at 13 kilos, she gets heavy after a while. That's why I invested in this sling. It is solidly made and holds my dog perfectly. It fits well and has freedom of movement when needed. I took it to the Grand Canyon and used it to carry it every day. My main issue is that the strap becomes uncomfortable after wearing it for a long time. It's soft but my dog pulls it down with his weight and it puts strain on my shoulder. Also, the padding on the inside of the strap is practically useless for maintaining the shape of the strap. It ends up looking more like a bowling ball cleaning bag than a sling. Finally, I keep my dog's butt where it's in the sling to lift it up a bit and give my shoulder a rest. save driving. My dog loves to jump and lunge when he sees another dog, so keeping him calm helps. I wouldn't recommend a sling for long hours, but it's perfect for short bursts.
