Great toilet seat covers. Robust and very slowly closing lid. They were so easy to put on that even a woman could do it 🙄. (I am female) The instructions indicate that the key is 1/2. I used a 13mm wrench and a flat head screwdriver to pry open the old covers. My old Lowe's Aquasource brand toilet seats, not bad toilets. But the seats are made of flimsy plastic. When you sit on the lid to put on your shoes or put lotion on your feet, they suddenly slip or fall under you. It's always shocking and annoying. I bought these and I'm glad I did. Heavy compared to the old lids, but surprisingly slow to close. I have to admit I was skeptical when I took the lid out of the packaging. I only took one out and put it in because I was sure the lid would slam shut. I've already decided to send the others back to Revane. I went ahead and installed all three. Happy with my purchase! The first photo (with the contoured lid) is my old lid, the rest is the Mayfair lid after installation. One of the lids had some sort of pre-applied label lol. There was a black stain on the seat that was difficult to wash off, like tar or something. I scraped and scrubbed and finally removed with a Clorox disinfectant wipe. In other photos, the lid slowly closes. I've also included photos of the tools I used to install the covers. Ignore the bloody blister on my finger.
