Review on 🛠️ Ryobi 030157001018 Sander Backing Pad: A Quality Addition to Enhance Sanding Efficiency by Greg Cunningham

This is a very poor imitation of the original last. Obvious things straight out of the box: 1. The OEM shoe had a steel mounting plate molded into a hard rubber washer. This pad is made of phenolic resin or some similar material which will certainly not last long under the vibrations of a grinder.2. The original's hard rubber pad has been replaced with a much softer material, but it can still work well. Time will tell.3. The hole pattern of the mounting screws is different, which requires the lengthening of the holes, which is likely to shorten the life of the fastener.4. The gripping surface of the new pad does not hold the sanding sheet like the original pad did when new. I will not buy it again although I expect to need a replacement very soon. SOMETIMES YOU CAN'T ALLOW CHEAP SHOPPING.
