Review on πŸ“ Bloc Loc HST- 4.5x4.5 Inches Half Square Acrylic Triangle Ruler by Amy Howard

Make a square, easy, accurate and fast!

The quilt I'm working on is made up of 160 half-square triangles that need to be squared to 4-1/2 inches. This triangular ruler makes the process a lot easier (quicker!) and more accurate. This is how it works: A small groove is cut diagonally in the middle of the back of the ruler. After ironing the 1/2 square block with the seam aside, place the ruler over the block with the groove on the seam. Thanks to this slide, the ruler lies perfectly flat on the block and "snaps" into place. Unlike flat rulers, the Bloc Loc will not swing or slide on the block. You can then move the ruler up and down along the seam to line up the block perfectly. If you do a lot of 1/2 square triangle projects, this is a time-saving tool. I've bought other tools that I could save my money on because I just don't use them that often or they don't work as advertised. Not this one. I do a lot of 1/2 square triangles using the quick Method 8 and this Bloc Loc gets used over and over again. Another useful tool is a rotating cutting mat.
