I wanted to connect to a new display that I recently bought have. I didn't want to keep unplugging the other HDMI cable from the monitor, so I decided to get an adapter so I could easily connect it to this HDMI cable. I have a PC for work and a Mac for home use, so this works really well. Ease of Use / Design: The design is quite simple and not too clunky. The part that says "Cable Matters" looks like plastic, which is good, but not the best quality. Although it's not a big problem. The adapter is not too long and therefore does not take up too much space. You simply plug an existing HDMI cable into one end and connect the mini-DP part to your Macbook Air. It's basically foolproof. Material: The cable itself for the adapter seems to be a bit thinner than most HDMI cables I've bought. I like it because it's easier to clean. The connector is gold plated, which is said to improve the connection. I couldn't tell any difference as it works as it should. Only time will tell if this adapter will hold up. This adapter is affordable, convenient and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone in the market as it is easy to store too.
