The juicer I received looks good from a distance but as soon as you pick it up and look at it you can see and feel that it is cheaply made. Relatively thin metal that appears rough on sharp edges (at the bottom of the shell, not visible at first). The hinge is loose and appears to be defective, although I suspect they are all made that way. That's what I'd expect for half the price, but since I use mine every day I'm looking for a quality, durable device. You don't always get what you pay for, but you pay for what you get!
