Review on Presto 04214 Electronic Digital Timer by Danae Velasco

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Mainly benefits of thermometers and timers

It's big (older folks will love it) and quite noisy (again fine for most but maybe too noisy for others). A potential downside is the lack of an hour setting button. You can still get this functionality by holding down the minute button long enough, but for verification purposes I'd say that's a potential issue. The only major issues are the magnet and the support bracket. Both are important given the timer's size/weight: the magnet barely holds the timer in place, and the built-in "bracket" will only handle the lightest kitchen environment. The LCD display is designed in such a way that the timer must be tilted or positioned at eye level to view it. To do this, mount the timer on the unit a few feet above counter level, or open the bracket and place it on the counter at an angle so that the LCD display is visible. Both positions endanger the fragile support bracket. Mine didn't last the first few weeks. The rest of the timer seems functional and fairly reliable.
