Review on ๐Ÿถ GO Whistle Pet Collars: Explore, Track, and Locate by Michelle Chauvin

Beware of design flaws

I recently bought a Whistle Go Explore. I lost my Whistle 3. I have decided to buy a collar for my new whistle. I read other reviews that said they had a collar and lost their whistle. Others have said it works well. I decided to see it myself. The first thing that struck me when I received the collar was that the collar was metal. He felt strong. I tried on the Whistle Go Explore and it fit perfectly. He felt free in the bracket. He could move. I thought that's why people lost their whistle. But I put it back in the plastic holder that came with it. It had the same looseness, but I never felt it fall out of its plastic mount. I noticed that the metal holder was different. The whistle button was difficult to reach, so it doesn't look like it could be pressed accidentally. I found the back was completely open for the trigger. Unlike the plastic holder, which had a closed back, the metal holder was open and you could access the trigger. Any movement or possibly a handle or collar could accidentally release your whistle. The problem isn't losing the $100 whistle, it's not tracking your dog. In my case, my dog is off the leash in the woods. He follows me, but one day he got distracted and we broke up. It didn't take long, but having a tracker gives me peace of mind when I can't find it. So if there is an increased chance of the whistle falling, it's not worth it. Also, the holders that come with the whistle seem to be more durable and can be attached to any collar that is purchased. Update: I've uploaded a video showing the entire back opening revealing the trigger. You could accidentally move it and lose the whistle.
