For the money I love it

For the money this is the best investment I've ever made for my Nikon D70 A non-contrast subject, but I was able to compensate by switching it slightly to a subject with some contrast moved and then moved it back. It helped and I can live with that. The construction is solid and the size and weight are impressive. Focuses well and fast enough for me. The internal motor chirps a bit, but that's the nature of the lens motor and I'm fine with that as long as it's running. 6 year guarantee help. I use Nikor 18-70mm and Nikor 28-200mm lenses. Both do what this lens does. The 28-200mm lens weighs around 1.8 lbs, while this lens only weighs 15.8 times that. Note I'm not a pro, far from it. I am a recreational user. I use this camera for travel, vacations and family gatherings, but I've found it makes life easier and I believe it will do exactly what I expect it to do today. I might one day buy a Tamsron 18-270 anti-vibration lens, but then again, the $299 I spent on this lens is worth it.

The Auto Focus doesn’t work. Otherwise it takes clear pictures.
