I replaced an older model (2008) that was starting to generate GFI errors. (It wasn't clear if this was a genuine GFI issue or if the thermostat had failed, so I started with the less expensive part, the thermostat, and apparently it was giving false alarms.) Upon installation, I noticed that the Rear power connectors have been redesigned - the positions of the load pair and source-power pair have been changed. If you simply install a new block and blindly copy the old connection, the load and source-current pairs will eventually be reversed; that would be bad. In other words, one has to be *very* careful when installing a new unit to ensure that the load and power supply pairs are properly connected, especially when replacing an old but seemingly identical unit. Honeywell is also better at labeling these wires. It is absolutely - and I mean absolutely - important that after installing this wire, the GFI test sequence is run (using the somewhat hidden test button on top of the thermostat). A jeweler's screwdriver is needed to lock the screws leading to the floor temperature sensor. It's not difficult to program, but in these days of the Internet of Things it would be nice if this thermostat could be controlled with a Revain Echo/Alexa.
