Best pasture gate latch I have ever used. Easy to use with one hand. Precise measurements as with snap closures are not required. A very strong chain and latch that can withstand high winds and cows rubbing against the gate. We also use this latch to keep dogs in a fenced backyard. I have been using these locks for over 20 years. Nothing at any price has also worked. The only downside is that the screw was a half inch shorter when drilled into our heavier gates which required a 2 1/2 inch screw. Fixed it with a trip to Lowe. Uncomfortable but still worth it. Bearing bolts were perfect for the lighter red gate. Another bonus is that people unfamiliar with these latches can't figure out how to open them.
