I work in R&D at VRLA. We cast a lot of lead and use an oxygen burner to make experimental cells. Previous people in my role have used leather gloves for using the torch and Nomex gloves for pouring lead. I bought them for myself, another technician and scientist we work with. They are incredibly comfortable, retain your dexterity and stand up to the heat very well. These are excellent gloves.
