Comfortable, heavy, long glove. Intended use: Working with hot grills and food to be grilled. Great success. The question remains: how the hell do you clean it? Bottom line: you don't, you just slap and scrape off the crust. Disease transmission vector: highly unlikely. Source: 1 chemist and 1 virologist.

Excellent quality. I don't use them for welding but I use them to control a BBQ chimney starter and they work great. I can work near hot coals for long periods of time without even feeling the heat. The gloves also reach to the forearm to catch flying embers that can burn you. Good product.

I work in R&D at VRLA. We cast a lot of lead and use an oxygen burner to make experimental cells. Previous people in my role have used leather gloves for using the torch and Nomex gloves for pouring lead. I bought them for myself, another technician and scientist we work with. They are incredibly comfortable, retain your dexterity and stand up to the heat very well. These are excellent gloves.

Comfort is what you expect, but "warmth" is definitely not what you need. Welding with them was a pleasure. The holes have not yet burned out, even when lifting hot metal. The thickness is good so I still have enough flexibility to adjust the torch and weld settings but I have enough protection that my hands aren't getting burned just yet while on it. I've been working with them for about 5 months and they're still going strong.

Cute gloves compared to others on the market. I'm not sure why welding glove manufacturers consider themselves ugly, but most of the alternatives are pretty unattractive. They look very nice and protect well. I took two stars because straight out of the box they seem stiffer than usual. With a bit of luck, they break quickly to avoid the hand fatigue that sometimes occurs. If they don't break quickly I'll update the rating but for now they're worth it.

I bought these to use when I need to check my fire. I use a pot belly stove and it makes everything from opening the door to carrying the kettle to putting the firewood easy. So far I've tested them and they've proven to be the best addition to my oven supply list. I'm a girl so gloves like these don't usually fit very well and until they break near the wear limit they tend to be difficult to manipulate.
