I bought these to use when I need to check my fire. I use a pot belly stove and it makes everything from opening the door to carrying the kettle to putting the firewood easy. So far I've tested them and they've proven to be the best addition to my oven supply list. I'm a girl so gloves like these don't usually fit very well and until they break near the wear limit they tend to be difficult to manipulate. This is the first pair I've ever used that offers all the protection I'm looking for without the stiff, stiff mobility issues I don't have. I've only had mine for about a month but even after using them to pull a log from a well established fire they show no signs of being a problem. So far I'm very impressed with how well they seem to work and hold up and really everything about them. Worth the price.
