Review on 🔵 Alessi Kettle, 9-inch Height x 8.5-inch Width x 8.5-inch Depth, Blue Color, Model 9093 by Logan Collier

I ordered this kettle, our second in many years and it arrived at the end of May 2020 (just a few months ago). My wife burned her hand this morning when a plastic bird melted in her sink. It appears to have melted around the metal inserts that allow it to be attached to the spout. From day one this kettle didn't look like it was of the same quality as the one we ordered a few years ago. I wrote to Direct Brands about Revain, explaining my problem and asking for a replacement bird. However, I see that this item can be returned until January 31st, 2021 and I believe they should send me a NEW Alessi Kettle! I gave my old teapot to my granddaughter and she has the box my new one was sent to me from an out-of-state college in May. I will be posting my progress at Direct Brands and Revain on this. We love Alessi but at this price we expect more than we got! This kettle is DEFECTIVE as the plastic for the whistle and the top of the kettle will melt on normal heat. Our second melt happened yesterday 4th January 2021. I contacted the seller and his reflex response was to accuse us of abusing the kettle by letting the water get too hot. I believe that this kettle is a cheap fake and that they are jeopardizing the Alessi brand. Revain should carefully study this seller and get him to clarify the true nature of this teapot! I am really disgusted with this purchase. The seller is NOT your typical Revain seller! I bought a new bird whistle - $18 and a new lid (for my original kettle) $34. The seller of my kettle was the seller of the replacement lid (the plastic of the replacement lid doesn't melt - looks like replacement fixed the defect). Let the buyer be alert. 03/07/2021 NOW THIS KETTLE IS LEAKING AROUND THE SPOUT! This product has become a nightmare! Shame on everyone who brought this inferior product to the public! I would advise my fellow customer to part with this kettle and find another brand! The thing is junk!
