My son has had multiple elbow surgeries and has been struggling the whole time. His doctor prescribed it but we found it on Amazon and got it. Offers good elbow protection. Lots of people, including the older ladies on the cruise we took, asked about it while he was on it. We ordered a large for my son and he's on the skinner side, he doesn't have a lot of muscle tone in his arms but he's 21 now. generally a good fit, a little loose. I accidentally washed it and now it fits my hand very securely and snugly. He could probably handle the medium.
