Versatile toy with the benefits of lying on its stomach

I had some doubts about this product but the purchase was successful. I got this product when my daughter was 3 months old when she needed more tummy time. To be honest she didn't care at 3 months, still hated lying on her stomach with that giraffe pillow and other pillows. We eventually taught her to lie on her stomach on a thick blanket and on our mattress. About 4 months she was spending more time on her stomach and we tried to increase the time with this article and she loved randomly pressing the piano keys and listening to jingles. She loved the giraffe's sensory cloth legs. Now she is 5 months old and loves to play with the giraffe's tags, ears and face since we removed the piano and other detachable toys (now they are on walkers and working out at the gym). She flashes a giraffe emoji and does not do so with any of her toys. This has happened over time. So if your child isn't immediately "attached" to a product or doesn't enjoy it, don't give up. Enter it again a little later. Pros: The fabric on the legs, wrinkled ears, and random tags really grab a kid's attention. My child will pick them for 15-20 minutes, which is quite enough to lie on his stomach. A soft but firm filling that retains its firmness for 2 months. Piano, rattle and toy are removable. This is good if your child is having trouble holding their head up and you don't want them bumping into the hard plastic. However, you should position the child so that their head is over the pillow and only their hands can reach the toy. However, some children learn to kick and push off at an early age, so being able to detach these toys is helpful. I hung toys on her walker with toy clips and played at the gym. Machine washable* - I've washed the giraffe pillow (not plastic toy) about 4 times. It's advertised as machine washable, but I was willing to take the risk of sanitizing her pillow. The giraffe survived the washing relatively well. The color has not faded, after rinsing it looks very good. It does not drip and does not feel wet. I hang it out to dry overnight (usually overnight) and it feels completely dry. The only accident after the machine wash was a plush tail with a musical note coming from a giraffe. My guess is that he got tangled in the diapers and curled up during numerous cycles. However, the giraffe now has a real thread tail that doesn't look so bad (see photo). If you insist on machine washing, either avoid washing with clothes and blankets that can wrap around the tail and pull it off as that seems to be the only weak point you have to worry about, or throw the giraffe in a washing machine bag and wash them. So the mesh bag protects it. Cons: To be honest, I can't think of anything. He does what he has to do and more. I am very happy with the purchase.
