I just bought a 2013 Ford F150 with a damaged towbar connector. Many of the wires were broken and corroded, and the harness connector that plugs into the back of the outlet was damaged beyond repair. This kit has a double socket for 4-pin and 7-pin plugs, as well as a mating connector for the vehicle wiring harness. It snaps right into the OEM mount and holds tight. The outlet covers have strong springs that provide a good seal when closed. The connecting wires are thicker than a truck wiring harness and long enough for me to remove a few inches of damaged wire. wires and there are many additional wires. I just had to match the connector wires to the OEM wires in the same position on the connector. I connected the spliced wires with glued butt connectors that you heat to shrink. The adhesive forms a watertight seal around the wires. I then covered the connectors with adhesive backed heat shrink tubing for added protection. It's been up and running for 2 months now and works great. All in all a great product at a reasonable price. I would definitely buy it again.
