dear mistake Cheap plastic cup. Lots of design flaws. Buyer warning!

Hello! kitchen queen. I have all known kitchen gadgets that make my life easier when cooking in the kitchen. When my 600 year old plastic chopper broke I decided that for the amount of food I chop I should invest in a good, durable model. So I bought this. Oh God. What a big mistake that was. First, there are design flaws. The plastic clip on the container that is supposed to snap doesn't snap. You need to insert 2 tiny pieces of plastic into the two slots to secure the cup. It took me 20 minutes to get it in there without breaking off the little plastic pieces. Difficult to maneuver, if you can attach it at all. Then you need to use a thin plastic cup to hold on to while cutting. This is the only "handle" on this helicopter. The base fits snugly on the counter so you can't hold onto it. The base is very solid and well made. However, trying to slide freshly cut food into a plastic jar from the top is impractical. It snags and puts pressure on the cheap plastic cup. Another design flaw. One positive comment I would like to make is that the blades are too sharp. I cut myself pretty bad just putting it under a spray bottle in the kitchen sink. If I could send it back I would do it in a heartbeat! However, I was trying to figure out how to make it work and missed the return window. Huge and costly mistake on my part. Don't repeat the same mistake. Don't consider this article.
