Review on πŸ‹ Nuvantee Stainless-Steel Lemon Squeezer - Extra-Large Manual Citrus Juicer for Fresh Lime & Orange Juice by Mandy Johnson

Function > Shape but does the job

This is the first lemon squeezer I've owned. I have a Williams Sonoma wooden lemon grater and an old-fashioned plastic citrus press that sits over a jar. Of the three, I actually only use the lemon squeezer now. Construction: Pretty solid. These are two pieces of metal attached to the front. The hinge seems pretty strong. The whole device turned out to be larger than I expected. To use it well, you need to use both hands, especially if the lemon or lime isn't that ripe/juicy. I've put a lot of effort into the levers and they haven't bent yet. However, the metal isn't strong enough not to worry. Liquid drains through holes in the floor. He rarely spills juice. Cleaning: It is written that it can be washed in the dishwasher, but it never gets dirty enough to be put there. It usually cleans very well just by rinsing it out of the tap. How to use: It's very simple, just place the lemon in the holder and squeeze. You may need a quarter of a lemon instead of half. I would definitely roll the lemons/limes first, otherwise you won't get as good an extraction. I feel like I waste very little juice compared to an old school reamer and juicer. Overall: I've used this quite a bit and it works well. It doesn't look super sexy. The construction is sturdy but not so strong that I don't have to worry about bending it in use. Anyway, I like it and I'm satisfied.
