I received my Smartmi air purifier last Sunday and have been using it ever since. Ever since the pandemic began, I've wanted an air purifier of the highest quality for a number of reasons. 1) Just in case someone in my house or my parents house gets sick I will feel much calmer if we can keep the air clean to prevent the spread of the disease (actually any disease not just covid ). Also, I'm a private vocal coach and the only way I can feel safe opening up personally is with a constantly running cleaner in my studio to keep germs at bay. I had an air purifier when I lived in Los Angeles. but it was huge and ugly (it looked like an overgrown shredder!). Smartmi is big but takes up much less space than I expected. It's also beautifully designed and a delight to look at. The controls are simple, easy to set up and use, and most importantly to me, it's QUIET. My recording studio is just around the corner from my kitchen and all cooking smells waft into the room, which can be very annoying. for some students who don't want to smell garlic or fish while singing. If I wear this to cook and then go to the studio, it smells like NOTHING. When summer comes, I bet it will take care of my students' smells too, because there's nothing like having a student right after soccer practice! Plus, with a bathroom attached to my studio, I don't have to worry about lingering odors. This device is really powerful and able to work in a large space. It has a real HEPA filter, which was extremely important to me when I bought it. It also has the bonus of a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor, and for anyone who constantly uses a humidifier in the winter, it's great to know how high the room is so I can adjust accordingly. The app is easy to install and use. . You can set the air purifier to turn on at specific times so I don't have to remember to turn it on (or turn it off - it's so quiet you forget it's on) on days I teach . You can see temperature and humidity. You can change the brightness of the light or turn it off entirely. Very convenient. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit. It's okay, but I'd like an opportunity like this. The touchless feature will be very useful for most people, it's very easy to use - for me I turned it off via the app because my little one would wave. it's all day and settings change. I'm glad there is an option to turn it on or off. It also works with OK Google and Alexa, neither of which I have, but I can only assume it can be really useful once you get used to using them. It's definitely ready for 2021! This is really top quality. I've been using it for just under a week but I'm very impressed with the features and the air quality of the rooms I've used it in.
