was damaged. I took out my old 16x20x1 filters and tried to put them in. They don't fit very well and the mess of wires came loose and cut my fingers. The same size old filters went in and out, but they are thicker and only took me about a pint of blood to install. My palms and fingers continued to be cut and bleeding from the cuts as I attempted to install a simple air conditioner filter. When it comes to permanent air filters, I go back to disposable filters. Treacherous.
