Installed this pump on my 1999 GMC Yukon 350 (5.7L). For a long time I had a loud noise that made me think my air suspension was leaking and the compressor was running non-stop. I couldn't bring myself to do it out of laziness, but when I finally gave in and decided to get in and check, I discovered it was my gas pump. That bothered me, so I installed this new pump. Installation is fairly easy, but a lot can go wrong. You'll need a tool to quickly disconnect the fuel lines, and also make sure your tank is as empty as possible (mine said E but it was still 5 gallons). If you find there is junk in the tank like I did, it becomes hell and you can come up with your own creative method to remove it - mine was pretty dangerous and I wouldn't recommend it. Avoid creating sparks, smoke, or use open flames - you will explode. Depending on which connector you have, you will also need to connect a new connector.
