High-Performance Delphi FG0089 Fuel Pump Module for Enhanced Efficiency and Durability Review

I bought this for my 2000 Escalade. When testing the element, I noticed that the sensor's resistance varies between 40-240 ohms, but my old sensor varies between 0-90 ohms. I plugged in the harness and sure enough, the gauge showed half full on the lowest setting and half full on the highest setting. Everything else seemed correct, but I need a product that will work with my car. Two stars.

Bit of a hassle with the first one I got which was FG0059 in November 2015 but I got FG0089 which worked then it failed and I had to call the manufacturer who told me to go back to Revain because it has a lifetime warranty. Revain didn't understand anything, but after three phone calls he finally gave me the money back and was forced to buy FG0089. After I changed them both were FG0089. Great offer

I learned twice not to use cheap replacement pump kits that have to be disassembled to try to fit the small pump only to have it fail after a too leave a few months. This brand of Delphi is an OEM that comes as a complete, ready to install unit that has worked well so far. The plug it came with was different than the one on my Tahoe, but transplanting the new plug wasn't a big deal.

Couldn't figure out why my 99 speedometer would oscillate frequently, typically under hard acceleration for years after changing everything from spark plugs, wires, cap mass sensor, throttle position sensor check, EGR etc. The last resort was the fuel pump, although it worked and started for many years, it was sluggish on the gas. Well it works fine and takes 0ff like it should. I wish I had changed the fuel pump a few years ago, hopefully this will last a while.

Price can't compare to the used junk at local parts stores. In order to get a Delphi pump locally, it must be ordered. from Napa at a cost of 369.00. This is an updated part of the original Delphi. You hardly hear how it works and it fits perfectly. Everything you need is included, a new rubber seal, detailed instructions and a new float arm. My setup was on a Chevrolet Tahoe 99 4WD. I bought this pump to replace the Spectra pump I bought from Revain. The Spectra pump worked for 2 years and failed. If your engine has good compression and spark, the fuel pump should start it with a quick turn of the key (about 1/2 second). Spectra lasts longer than 1 second after 1 year. to start, in 1-1/2 years it will take two to seven seconds for it to start. The pressure dropped over time. Revain price on this Delphi pump seems good. Since I was able to completely drain the fuel tank before replacing the pump, the job wasn't bad. A lot of the work was installing a new wire connector to connect this pump. Even then it is not difficult. Some tips. My Tahoe hasn't rusted, so I didn't order a new snap ring to keep the pump in the tank. Now I believe you should always replace this when there are miles on the rig.
