Useless thread

I liked the pattern so I bought this product, I finally got a chance to start making this so I cut the thread, threaded the needle, and every time I put the needle in the fabric , it gets knotted and you have to cut and repeat. Dental floss is a disaster and not good. This frustrates me, I didn't want to buy the kit and will have to look elsewhere for the thread if the kit comes with thread.
