It's a great concept but they don't do the trick. I wanted them to be used with my Instant Pot. I figured I could handle the components without worrying about hot pad saturation. The problem is that they are too rigid to grip anything securely. Heat resistance isn't great either. I wouldn't take a hot pan with me. You can definitely feel warmth through them. Although they are suitable for replacing pot inserts and can easily be washed out in soapy water, they are not as useful as hoped. Another note: they do NOT stretch AT ALL. I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be an important factor because my husband can even get them half on hand.
