The shadows are too transparent but they work.

Shades are much thinner (too transparent) than I expected; the pins for attachment to the bulb are too visible. So my criticism is based on aesthetics, looks. But they do their job and the price is right. I use them on a few candle lights (pointy tops); Shadows are good.
