My family of 6 have been using this sharpener for a few years now. We have it in the kitchen and use it every day. It treats my 12 year old daughter with her obsession with always having a sharp pencil, my preschooler who takes every opportunity to use it and others who use it from time to time. I think the preschooler sharpened over 2 dozen crayons on both sides in the last week. It's quite small, which I like...about 3.5" x 5". I wouldn't recommend it for a classroom setting, but it was great for a busy family.
