Review on 🔌 Boost Your Connectivity with Aluratek 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub by Brent Borseth

When I ordered it 6 days ago there was only one review and it was 5 stars. If I had waited I would have already known that the cord was too short to use. Even on my laptop. Because of the other cables that are next to the USB sockets, this would be a real problem. It comes with a 1 inch cable with a USB connector. The cable tucks neatly into the bottom of the hub when not in use. During use you have no choice where to place the hub as the cable is so short. I was hoping for a USB AB cable so I could use a hub to extend the USB ports from my server in the storage room that became the server room to my office. This device is not suitable for this. By the way, this is an active hub that comes with a power adapter. The rating plate says 5 volts at 2 amps. However, the power adapter weighs no more than 2 ounces. And even with the AC adapter, this hub doesn't power my 2.5" portable USB drive, but the USB 2.0 ports on my PC do power the drive as expected. Maybe I was too nice when I gave 2 stars.
