My new car doesn't work

I got this on Tuesday this week. I have a big one too. I can put a roll on this little one with no problem, but I can do two rolls on a stitch or two, then it won't go forward or backward. I notice the thread coming, even white stitches, that's all. What should I do. I have a big one so I know what to do. But I think the end of the thread is yet to come because it doesn't add more roles. Please help me. Sincerely, Donna DeGraw.
