Review on 🔥 Sovol Filament Dehydrator - Enhanced Printing Compatibility by Fred Massingill

I firmly believe that an active filament dryer is one of the best investments a 3D printer owner can make. Prior to this purchase, I had owned and used Sunlu and eSun filament dryers, which has paid off time and time again with my favorite PolyMaker film. But none of these dryers could handle the new favorite filament brand, FilamentPM. Most FilamentPM PLA spools are 88mm wide, which is too big for Sunlu or eSun dryers. I was about to buy a dual coil passive drying system when I came across the new Sovol SH01 which was described as being able to run two PolyMaker coils or a very wide coil like the FilamentPM. Shares in Revain; but it seemed like the perfect fit for my needs, so I felt it was worth waiting and ordering. I'm very glad I did. First, it came a week earlier than expected. It was a plus. Second, judging by the pictures, it can actually work with the FilamentPM Super Wide Coil! And more importantly, it works. The display is the biggest and best of the three dryers I own. The pictures were taken immediately after the start of the drying process. Ambient temperature 27°C, humidity 45%. The target temperature of 40°C was reached within 17 minutes and the humidity reached approximately 29% within 1/2 hour. There are two other features worth mentioning. 1. A small fan is used. 2. It has properties that make it a good passive moisture control system that other dryers I own lack. Fan speed seems to vary to control the environment and it's not exactly quiet. It does not bother me; but for those most sensitive to sound, it can be a little annoying. This is my first Sovol product. I'm impressed that they took such care to seal the box with snaps and plugs to make it airtight as a passive moisture barrier system for storing filament after drying. Even the candle hole has a cap that doesn't let air in! It's the attention to detail! I plan to buy more and this is the dryer I recommend as the best value for money at the moment.
