Review on πŸ”§ Precision Instruments PRED2F600HM Wrench - 3/8" Drive Torque with Memory Pointer, 600 lb/in Rating by Larry Breeze

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good tool for my timing belt work.

I bought this tool to tighten the idler pulleys and guides when changing the timing belt on my 2003 WRX. I needed a wrench that went down to 8 foot pounds. and up to 29 ft.lbs. This fits the bill. Converting from inch-pounds to foot-pounds was easy. Just multiply ft.lbs. to 12 and all. I also wanted a torque wrench that was accurate but didn't need to be calibrated like clickers. I chose this torque wrench based on my research on different types of torque wrenches. This is well made, feels solid and works very well. While I know the clicker type is easier, I felt better when I could see the change in torque value when pressure was applied.

Pros
  • Torque wrench
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
