This is one of the best irons I have ever used. It's well designed and has most of the features I need. The on/off and temperature controls are located on the inside of one of the panels. This is good as it prevents accidental collisions and temperature changes. However, it's hard to spot since the keys are as flat as the body. The display is on the outside and is digital, making it easy to see the temperature reading. The iron heats up very quickly. It's ready to use in about 10 seconds. Preheating is not required. The closet stays cool enough, but I didn't have to leave the iron on for more than 5 minutes while styling my hair. Good size iron. It's a little shorter than my other favorite iron, but the shorter length makes it easier for me to use. It has a long cord and dual voltage, although I can't verify that. It also has an automatic shut off. The plates distribute the heat evenly and give off a bit or float a bit, which gives me a good grip on my hair. The hair glides smoothly, does not stick and does not stick. I get such good smoothing results that I can ignore any imperfections.
