My 2012 VW CC had multiple lights on, ABS, airbag, traction control, parking brake. Took the car to the dealer where they diagnosed a faulty rear left ABS sensor and offered $480(!) to replace it! I refused the repair and paid "only" $160 for diagnostics. This sensor mounts with a screw, 5mm hex, just behind the wheel and a plastic connector. It literally took me 15 minutes to swap it out. I start the car and before I drive out of the garage, all the lights go out except for the airbag light. I turn off the car, restart it and the airbag light went out too. No need to restart the computer or disconnect the battery, the light goes out immediately after replacing the faulty sensor with a new one, and this Bosch sensor works exactly as the VW dealer asked for $160... I believe the dealer OEM sensors are actually Bosch. in any case. Stay away from $10 Chinese gauges on eBay if you want the job done right and without a headache. If you can replace the wiper blades you can replace this sensor, just watch some youtube videos and you're good to go. I would still recommend paying to have the problem diagnosed so you know exactly which sensor needs to be replaced, one on each wheel. Good luck!
