First let me say that I'm not a transmission specialist, when I need work on my cars I always go to a trained professional. . So I was very afraid to buy it and try to make it myself. It was either a lot easier than I thought, or I do have some mechanical skills. I installed it on my 2005 Tahoe Z71 in about 45 minutes and I LOVE it. While there's no significant increase in noise, there's a noticeable rumble when you step on the gas and I definitely feel a bit more "umf". I haven't used it long enough to see any changes (for better or worse) to MPG, so I won't even comment on that. I'm just thrilled that a guy who has never changed the oil (me) was able to install this without a single swear word or tools scattered throughout the garage.
