🚀 K&N Cold Air Intake Kit (57-3050): Boost Horsepower & Performance for 2005-2007 Chevy/GMC/Cadillac Vehicles (Silverado, Avalanche, Suburban, Tahoe, Sierra, Yukon, Escalade) Review

Sounded really good on my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT 5.3L. I've heard that performance depends on the mileage of your car. My truck has only done 48,000 miles and it sounds really good, whistles when I hit the gas and runs great. Gave my truck decent torque. I didn't notice any significant increase in fuel consumption.

I am very happy with the product, easy to install (30 minutes) and looks much better than the stock airbox. It gave my V8 a deeper growl that sounds a lot better when I step on the gas, so I do it more often and the gas mileage is a bit better as a result. The next step is to install and tune the catback exhaust system to get the most out of that intake. So far only the sound is worthwhile.

Installs on gmc yukon 5.3 v8 2005. Installation is easy, all required clamps are included. I haven't had it in long enough to notice an increase in fuel economy, but throttle response is noticeably quicker and I seem to have more momentum than before. The only thing that bothers me is that the plastic tube that goes to the throttle body right by the k&n logo rubbed the hood insulation a bit. Enough to notice small traces of rubbing on the plastic.

First let me say that I'm not a transmission specialist, when I need work on my cars I always go to a trained professional. . So I was very afraid to buy it and try to make it myself. It was either a lot easier than I thought, or I do have some mechanical skills. I installed it on my 2005 Tahoe Z71 in about 45 minutes and I LOVE it. While there's no significant increase in noise, there's a noticeable rumble when you step on the gas and I definitely feel a bit more "umf". I haven't used it long…

This is my first experience. Some of my friends have them on race/project cars. Here's the problem: My 4WD 05 Yukon Denali hit 10mpg city and 12.7 highway with a tailwind. After installing the KN intake, my truck sounds like it has some stance when I step on it, it sounds tame at idle and best of all it gets 14.8 mpg city and about 19 mpg on the highway . Those numbers scared me. I was expecting a little more mileage, but these are real numbers and I'm very happy. I know 19hwy still sucks but…
