Review on 🚣 INNO INA455 Kayak Roof Rack: Universal Mount 2 Kayak Carrier - Ultimate Solution for Easy and Secure Transportation by Peter Tennant

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Carried a kayak but was a bit awkward

We only used this carrier for one kayak but it's a two seater so heavier and longer than a single seater. - My husband installed the roof rack on his Subaru Outback with no problem but it took about an hour. - The kayak moved well but had to work hard to take care of all the stabilizing/mounting points as the kayak is mostly on one side on the stand - A couple of screws almost touching the roof and hatch glass which caused a lot of concern , as the weight of the kayak increases. We could hear them rattling as we drove through busy stretches of road. We'll see how we can either shorten the screw or use some sort of spacer in the future. After all it took to install the rack my husband didn't want to do it again so he removed the cross bars with the rack installed. However, switching between frames for different weights can be inconvenient. We wanted this carrier because we are still considering buying a second kayak for our family. However, I'm not sure the weight of our two seater kayak should match the second kayak on our vehicle with this rack. Adding this to other concerns: I wish we had a stance that would allow the kayak to sit upright. With two individual kayaks, I still worry about the weight making the screws touch the roof.
