I had a pair of these on my Sequoia for 6 years until one blew. The new ones come with a heat shield that slides over the exhaust pipe where it meets the spring. This is one area where seniors have a weak spot. I only replaced one and kept the other for when I need it. Even though the original lasted 6 years without a heat shield, I can't complain. I didn't use an onboard compressor because when hooking up the trailer I'm at the rear bumper where I installed a Schrader valve to inflate the springs.
