Much better than Firestone rides

I had a hard time holding my breath on Firestone rides. The support team was slow and unresponsive to my requests. I've used airlifts on my two previous cars, a 2005 Pilot and a 2006 4-Runner Limited, and I should have stuck with the airlift and not tried the Firestone. Installed on my 2010 Toyota Sequoia Limited with no problems. I'm pulling a £5,000 trailer and they help a lot.

  • Very good value for money

Will last for many years: shocks, struts and suspension

I had a pair of these on my Sequoia for 6 years until one blew. The new ones come with a heat shield that slides over the exhaust pipe where it meets the spring. This is one area where seniors have a weak spot. I only replaced one and kept the other for when I need it. Even though the original lasted 6 years without a heat shield, I can't complain. I didn't use an onboard compressor because when hooking up the trailer I'm at the rear bumper where I installed a Schrader valve to inflate the…

  • High marks for support and durability from testers

Very disappointed good for spares

I installed them very carefully following the instructions on my Sequoia Gen 2. I am a very experienced mechanic and BSME mechanical engineer. Worked fine for a few days then died. I tested them for leaks with soapy water and found none, but they were lazy. By the way, it's not very easy or effective to fix bugs after they've all been put in the quill. No wonder the ride seemed so smooth. They weren't puffed up! Installing them was a waste of time. Now I have to remove them. Not a very fun…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Not as easy to install as it sounds, but once installed it works great!

Installed on my 2013 Toyota Sequoia SR5. The installation video looks easier than it is. To be honest I did it in the driveway by jacking up the back of the car. The quarters were overcrowded. The hardest part of the installation was not getting the airbags into the springs. It was doable. Then when you remove the covers over the air port the bags will try to inflate and then it's bloody difficult to get to the top of the bags to install the air duct, install the clip and remove the red top…

  • Few competitors

Works great in a 2008 Toyota Sequoia, relatively easy installation

Installation took approximately 1.5 hours by two experienced people. We successfully installed them in the rear of a 2008 Toyota Sequoia. This makes a huge difference in towing a £4,500 trailer for Boy Scouts! The hardest part was clamping the bags and sliding them into the existing springs. A good jack is definitely a must. Routing the air lines was also a challenge, but with a little ingenuity and thought (and extra wire protection), we were able to route and secure them without exposing them

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
