These are definite upgrade from our old crusty brown hinges.The holes do not line up 100%.For me this is a feature.The biggest issue I have with these hinges is that the self closing part is a tiny spring on the barrel of the hinge.The doors self-close when the doors are 20% open.When installing I had some issues with a few hinges coming apart.I decided to continue to use these hinges. by pressing pin in firmly by hand. the hinge seems fine a few days later. I think they were not seated 100% when manufactured.I am overall satisfied. what I really wanted was stronger closing hinges.this was the best frame mounted/ self-closing hinges I could find.Better alternatives are available for $40 a pair. which is not practical when I need 20 hinges on a budget kitchen restore project.
