Review on 🧶 Explore the Knit Stitch Dictionary: Uncover 250 Essential Stitches! by Carla Anderson

A good addition to knitting pattern libraries

A very handy dictionary. The stitches are named for their appearance. There are beautiful patterns, written instructions, and diagrams. The index includes the stitch name and a miniature circular pattern for quick reference. If you're craving more of your favorite stitch types, try a book with a specific focus, like Vogue Books. I wanted a hard copy because e-books don't have a copy option yet. I make my patterns. Sometimes I want lace, sometimes mosaic or braid. Maybe I want buns. All this and much more is offered. I do not think so, that a new knitter likes to knit endless accessories or garments in stockinette stitch or garter stitch. He/she will benefit from being able to choose a variety of stitches without having to endlessly search for free stitches online and then download and copy them. A well-written book is a good resource for this Pura. Therefore, I recommend this book to both beginners and experienced knitters.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other sets

Good book (love the charts for each stitch) but lacks organization...missing abbreviated terms.
