Review on 🚲 Panaracer Classic Folding Tyre with Enhanced Traction - Smoke Edition by Scott Spoja

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's a classic and there's a reason it works so well.

I've had these tires for years - Smoke rear, Dart front - and keep coming back to them. They can be used on any terrain, they hold air well over time, the sidewall is stiff enough to prevent the tire from deforming at high lean angles, the wire bead sits well on the tire, the price is good ( $20 to $30 per tire) and These tires are Goldilocks' Choice - not too hard, not too soft. That's right. In Northern California, I use these wire bead 2.1 tires (didn't even notice the extra weight) on my full suspension bike, and they work well on all surfaces: tarmac heading to off-road trails, street use, deep dirt, moderate sand. even broken asphalt and potholes all over the city. I don't ride in deep mud, so that doesn't apply to me. They replaced Hutchinson Pythons and those tires scared me to death in corners a couple of times. I checked the inflation, checked the bead seat, removed it and wiped the corner. So, a quick purchase from Revain and I've dropped the Pythons in favor of the Panaracers. The difference was huge, as is usually the case when I return to the Panaracers. I also like the pure off-road WTB tires, but they have a lot of rolling resistance on hard tarmac and asphalt, and the softer compound wears out a bit more. quickly. The Panaracers are just perfect and really inspire confidence when you lean on them. Trust me on that.
