Old design, great traction.

Like the grip on the rear tires. Paid less than $30. Actually narrower than the dimensions state. I would have liked it better in a ready-to-use tubeless version.

Hook and Loop Tires: Cycling

Heavy, yes. But I do not care. These things stick like glue. I also agree with the reviewer who talked about grip and stability at high lean angles. I started with these tires and got used to them. Imagine my surprise when I replaced them. couldn't understand why the "new, improved and light" tires kept washing me away.

Not like original

I have attached photos of Smoke Hard-Core Compe 26x2.10 and Dart Hard-Core Compe 26x2.10 folding tires which I bought new circa 1994. Japan, and Smoke has a different tread pattern than the tire sold here. Modern versions are still great tires but note that they differ from the original design.

It's a classic and there's a reason it works so well.

I've had these tires for years - Smoke rear, Dart front - and keep coming back to them. They can be used on any terrain, they hold air well over time, the sidewall is stiff enough to prevent the tire from deforming at high lean angles, the wire bead sits well on the tire, the price is good ( $20 to $30 per tire) and These tires are Goldilocks' Choice - not too hard, not too soft.
