The previous owner of my C class van thought if a little silicone was a good idea, a lot of silicone would be even better. It is not. I smeared it all over with a clear sealant and it had absolutely no effect on whether the windows or gaskets were leaking or not. The key to sealing an RV is to use it in the right place, use the smallest bead you can and NOT smooth it out with your finger. Bit by bit, and this plastic scraper is PERFECT!. The blades are sharp but won't cut or damage the fiberglass gelcoat! The blades dull pretty quickly, so get extra blades!
