Review on Efficient Schwinn Bike Pumps: Foot and 🚲 Hand Operated, with Presta and Schrader Valve Options by Robert Arneson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you love broken valves and air is coming out of your tire, look no further.

As mentioned, this thing works horribly, especially with Presta valves, but really bad with Schrader valves. The locking mechanism is the opposite of any other pump as the top position is locked. The lock is incredibly tight, making it difficult to lock and unlock. The biggest problem is that you can't remove it from the valve! As you try to pry and pull this thing off the valve, air will rush out of the tube. This happens with every type of valve. You have to inflate the tire extra to accommodate this. I bent or snapped at least 4 presta valves with it before giving up and rebuilding it to only pump my kids' sports balls. Then the supplied needle broke. Understand yourself. This was one of my first uses of Presta valves, so I assumed I was doing something wrong. A friend of mine who has been riding a bike for many years tried it and encountered the same problem. I took another floor pump from my LBS. It works perfectly. Avoid this product.
