We love this for our little mermaid! She is 18 months old and weighs 20 kilos. We fought at pool parties this summer because she wanted to splash around with big kids and hated baby rafts. The first 4-5 times she used it we held her in our arms and taught her to hold her head up straight. After that she got used to it and can now swim freely! Her face can still sink in the water, but as she gets stronger, she remembers to lean back, and even when she leans back with her full weight, she still stays upright. We have an above ground pool and whenever we are outside or near the pool she leaves it on and can still play! Would recommend to all little swimmers. It's under the recommended weight for it, but the back buckle is very tight so it fits properly.
